  • Responsible for: Supervision/Evaluation of schools, Site instructional leadership, hiring school level administrators

  • Lead Principal, Assistant Principal, and Counseling Teams for consistency and collaboration across the district

  • Work directly with a number of advisory committees and community partners to develop internships and opportunities for students valley-wide

  • Responsible for: All CTE Program creation, development, maintenance, program review, budgets, and evaluation

  • Working with Career Wise to provide two-year apprenticeships for students

  • Align district programs with the Western Colorado Community College

  • Responsible for articulation agreements between various entities – charter schools, WCCC, etc.

 

2004-2014    Principal, Palisade High School, Palisade Colorado

  • Developed the strong mission and vision for Palisade High School as it became the first International Baccalaureate school on the Western Slope.

  • Supervised and evaluated over 100 staff members, including direct instruction

  • Responsible for the recruiting and hiring of all new staff

  • On-going professional development for all teachers and staff

  • Managed budgets of over $500,000

  • Responsible for ALL students to move to graduation; sign off on all graduates

  • Work directly with the Counseling Department to create course offerings and schedules

  • Directly collaborated with International Baccalaureate programs across the globe
